Free Spirit Farm

Nestled in the Virginia mountains near Smith Mountain Lake

Free Spirit Farm is a small private horse boarding facility nestled in Virginia.   Horses are cared for individually by BJ Watkins, owner and operator of the facility. Free Spirit occupies 14 acres, a mixture of pastures and wooded hills.  A spring fed creek supplies continous fresh water for grazing animals.  Our horses are kept in as natural an environment as possible.  This leads to better mobility and happier contented horses. 

We also offer temporary accomodations for folks who want to vacation in the Smith Mountain Lake area and take advantage of nearby trails and all Smith Mountain Lake has to offer.
